COMPANY INFORMATION
Steve has worked in the tree/vegetation industry since 1991 working for a locally based company in Norhamptonshire which he subsequently became a shareholder in 1994, he then progressed in taking over the company and formed Allen Groundcare with his wife, Debs in 2004.
As the company has expanded, Steve and Debs have both gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in their field, from maintaining day to day accounts in the office to working on site overseeing various works and achieving strict deadlines on large maintenance contracts.
They are now both at the forefront of a very dedicated, experienced and highly motivated team.
Qualifications
Allen Groundcare have undertaken years of training and assessment and have attained the following qualifications:
National Proficiency Training Council – “NPTC” units covering:
• Maintain and operate the Chainsaw
• Cross-cut and Stack Produce
• Fell small trees
• Basic Tree Climbing with Aerial Rescue Using A Chainsaw In A Tree
• Aerial Rescue
• Climb A Tree
• Use of Chainsaw from Rope and Harness
• Arboriculture and Bats
• Use of Pesticides
Currently undertaking:
• RFS Certificate in Arboriculture
Other Qualifications:
• Operation and Maintenance of Hydraulic Power Fed Mobile Brushwood Chipper & Stump Grinding
• IPAF – Working from Mobile Platforms
• Lantra – Tractor Driving and Mounted Flail Hedgecutter
• Emergency First Aid
• Safe use of all equipment on site including Flail Mowers, Strimmers, Hedge Cutters
• Risk Assessment
• Full Boatmasters License
• Inland Waterways Helmsman License
