We were recently called to Blakesley in Northamptonshire to do a crown reduction on a large Willow tree. We reduced a significant area of the crown (both laterally & vertically) as Willows can tolerate heavier crown reductions (they are good at putting on regrowth).
FYI when we reduce a tree, we cut every branch back to a suitable growth point along the branch we are reducing. By cutting back to a growth point we not only help to keep a natural shape but also promote the formation of healthy secondary growth and good tree health (FYI a growth point is a secondary branch growing off of a main branch). Reductions can also reduce encroachment onto the surrounding area.
The client was delighted with the outcome. If you would like a quote for an expert tree reduction call 01327 354 789.
